Christopher S. Edwards, CPA, CVA Christopher (Chris) Edwards, a Macon native, has been employed by CLHP since he started his public accounting practice in 1989 and has been a partner in the firm in since 1997. He is a licensed CPA and also holds the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) designation. His diverse experience with the firm has enabled him to develop expertise in audit, litigation advisory & support services, computer consulting, management advisory services, and various tax areas. Chris has played a key role in the firm's development of our Litigation-Valuation Practice Group which has grown to over 20,000 total hours of service. He has extensive experience in expert witnessing and has worked on hundreds of cases. He has testified at deposition or trial on many occasions and has worked closely with attorneys in developing cases. His litigation services practice has included work in the areas of business valuations, claims analysis, divorce and domestic litigation, lost business profits and wages, corporate fraud, embezzlement, professional malpractice, retirement benefits analysis, condemnation actions, minority shareholder rights, business buyout, criminal cases, partnership split-ups, child support modifications, and extensive work in the areas of corporate and individual bankruptcy matters. Chris is experienced in investigating multi-state fraud and RICO matters and has been retained by both the Federal Trade Commission and the Georgia Secretary of State for the purposes of investigating multi-million dollar frauds committed in multiple states. He has also been appointed by courts to serve as examiner, to mediate litigation prior to trial, and to serve as trustee of corporate assets.Auditing, also a major component of Chris's practice, has provided him with experience in construction, healthcare, governmental, not-for-profit, manufacturing, retail, mortgage banking, and other areas.
